It's tempting to
use nap time and bed time as get - things - done time, but many new moms figure out quite quickly that sleep is essential to their sanity.
If a babysitter is out of the question,
use nap time to squeeze in a phone call to a friend and give yourself five minutes to talk about children.

The problem was it was so slow to
use that by the
time you got done with digit number 10, number 1 had regrown and the baby had woke up from a full
nap.
I hope your son is healthy now (as you posted he was ill in January) and I can perhaps help by encouraging you to
use your sling, at least try co-sleeping for
nap times during the day, give him as much skin to skin contact as possible, and eventually his brain will mature, as will his gut and things will get easier.
And the fact that thumb sucking and pacifier
use can turn into prolonged habits, sometimes into first grade or beyond, may lead you to think that you should avoid both, but remember that the American Academy of Pediatrics does recommend that you «consider offering a pacifier at
nap time and bedtime» to reduce your infant's risk of SIDS.
