the use of Amiibo figures previous in which players can control two Yoshi's simultaneously within the main game.
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse (release date Feb. 20), last year's Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, Mario Party 10 (released date March 10) will all make
use of Amiibo figures.
Mini Mario & Friends: Amiibo Challenge, the latest title in the long - running puzzle series that began as Mario vs. Donkey Kong, is only playable through
the use of Amiibo figures.
Not exact matches
When «Super Mario Maker» arrives later this week, all
of Nintendo's
Amiibo figures will be compatible, unlocking special pixelated costumes you can
use.
Fans
of amiibo will be happy to know their Mario universe
figures can be
used to unlock special character cards, which serve the same function as the Battle Cards but feature unique art pulled from the wider world
of Mario games.
The game is scheduled to be released on March 20 in the United States, alongside a new special wave
of amiibo figures that are designed to be
used with Mario Party 10 specifically.
While I'm not sold on the idea
of $ 17
figures refreshing Link's hearts or arrows, this is quite ingenious;
using an
amiibo to make combat harder.
Through
use of almost any
of the
amiibo figures that are currently available, you can swap out Mario for multiple playable characters.
By
using amiibo figures from the Animal Crossing series *, players can take control
of fan - favourite characters like Isabelle, Tom Nook and K.K. and watch them come to life as they travel across the board, trying to collect as many Happy Points as possible.
Blathers is one
of 15 (16 if Isabelle wearing her summer outfit is counted as a separate character) characters that can be played on the Board Game mode
of Animal Crossing:

Of course, a New 3DS system or the NFC
amiibo reader will required to

of amiibo figures are compatible with the game, allowing you to
use cards in battle to give you an extra boost.
Smash Bros. for Wii U will be the first title to
use NFC technology through a series
of long - rumored
figures called
Amiibo.
There's no reason to have that little metal sheet there at all, unless Nintendo wanted to add further fuel to the
Amiibo fever by pushing collectors to purchase their
figures twice — one for the collection and one to actually
use — while at the same time driving the value
of the unopened
Amiibos even higher.
Breath
of the Wild is compatible with all lines
of amiibo figures, scannable by
using the
amiibo Rune ability, which can be activated via the game's options menu.

amiibo figures, players will also be able to
use a number
of amiibo from other franchises like Splatoon and The Legend
of Zelda; this will also unlock special in - game items inspired by their respective games.
Of course, the Switch still has
amiibo functionality, so all those
figures and cards released so far could still find a
use on the system, along with some new ones.
