The online capabilities of the Wii U may not be as strong as its console competitors, but it's efficient enough to make good
use of Animal Crossing's features.
After playing two rounds, you can begin unlocking another eight mini-games which make
use of Animal Crossing amiibo cards.
The amiibo functionality alone is a great upgrade for Animal Crossing fans with easier
use of Animal Crossing amiibo cards.
Updated story: Nintendo UK has confirmed to The Nintendo Channel that its website listing is correct and that Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer will make
use of the Animal Crossing amiibo figures.

use them on your North America copy
of Animal Crossing: New Leaf with no issues.

Animal Crossing is a fun little application on the Nintendo 3DS which
uses the AR Cards scanning feature
of the system to bring
Animal Crossing characters to life.
We went ahead and tested this out on our copy by
using two
of the Japanese
Animal Crossing amiibo Cards (see our unboxing here) imported last month.
Garden Safari is a new event for
Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, which makes
use of the new garden area that became available last year.
This package includes a retail box copy
of Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer, along with the Nintendo 3DS NFC Reader / Writer accessory required to
use Animal Crossing amiibo Cards on the older Nintendo 3DS systems.
As previously shown in other videos,
Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer encourages players to take plenty
of screenshot photos while they play the game, especially during the sequence played after completing a home showing the character touring and
using their new home.
Animal Crossing doesn't take a tremendous amount
of resources to make, it's mostly text writing, which they're probably working on now - as well as holidays, and incorporating those HD graphics
used in the Plaza and Mario Kart.
Although this is a spin - off game, a great deal
of content from the
Animal Crossing series, like characters and furniture, is
used smoothly and you get into a trance while creating elaborate rooms.
Blending the exploration
of Metroid Prime with the wackiness
of Animal Crossing,
use the GamePad (or B.Pad as it's referred to in - game) to download an assortment
of helpful apps to solve its many Zelda - like puzzles.
There also exists a variety
of ways to modify the data
of an
Animal Crossing save file through the
use of specially designed computer programs such as the
Animal Crossing Map Editor for
Animal Crossing: Wild World and ACToolkit for
Animal Crossing: City Folk.
Fish can be found in all bodies
of water, the pond, the River Pool, the river, the waterfall, the Ocean and the fish can only be caught
using any
of the two (in
Animal Crossing and
Animal Crossing: Wild World) to three (in
Animal Crossing: City Folk and
Animal Crossing: New Leaf) types
of available fishing rods.
But instead
of letting this go to their heads and staying solely focused on Miitomo, Nintendo are now even more driven to
use Miitomo as a starting point and release plenty
of more apps and games in the very near future, games such as
Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem, which we covered here.
Using furniture to design houses and public facilities is a major element
of Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer, a spin - off based on the main series.
But
Animal Crossing: New Leaf project lead Aya Kyogoku shows how the old firm is making
use of diversity within its ranks.
Medals are the exclusive form
of currency
used on Tortimer Island in
Animal Crossing: New Leaf.
The series draws on real - world events like seasons, day and night cycles, holidays etc. but I could imagine
Animal Crossing mobile doing things that might have been more difficult on consoles, like pulling local weather data to reflect it in - game, or making

As Happy Points are collected, they can be saved to each
Animal Crossing amiibo and
used to unlock new emotions and costumes, with a total

Thankfully, no
Animal Crossing game made particularly extensive
use of Miiverse, although there are a few minor issues.
This entry by Connor really stood out to me as being unique by making clever
use of the Happy Home Camera feature in the game with the angle
of the camera, as well as
using Animal Crossing amiibo cards for the characters.
Blathers is one
of 15 (16 if Isabelle wearing her summer outfit is counted as a separate character) characters that can be played on the Board Game mode
of Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival by
using his amiibo figure.
It's a satisfying, addictive loop that feels rewarding thanks to A) varied layers
of progression both based on how much money you earn and how accomplished you are at each job; B) the overabundance
of Things to collect and
use; C) tons and tons
of fetch quests given to you not only by your Life teacher, but by random NPCs (all
of whom have their own names and personalities, in true
Animal Crossing style).
It looks like
Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer features various «courses», which can be purchased with Play Coins that will which teach players how to
use different features and other elements
of the game.
The next series
of Animal Crossing amiibo cards also launches in March, bringing the grand total
of available amiibo cards to be
used in games like
Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival for Wii U and
Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer for Nintendo 3DS to a whopping 300.

Animal Crossing on mobile to have a similar structure in some ways.
