the use of contraceptives for the purpose of preventing procreation.

for even a progressive to understand: Truly medically necessary
uses of contraceptive pills (or any other

for the same reason ALL truly medically necessary procedures should be covered.

use of contraceptives was OK

of conscience
for someone
using contraceptives because you don't believe in it?
One should bear in mind that studies
of populations show that condom
use for contraceptive purposes has a failure rate
of 12 \ % [6]- where «failure» means conception, which can occur only once a month, whereas HIV can be transmitted any day
of the year.
To allow condom
use within marriage even if there is no
contraceptive intent would amount to an abandonment
of the Church's fundamental teaching on what is required
for sexual activity truly to realise the «one flesh» unity
of the couple and so to be morally acceptable.

use of contraceptive measures
for birth control is relevant here, but comments on it will be reserved
for Chapter 11.

The expansion
of state power is justified
for its liberative effects, freeing women from the oppression
of an antiquated institution (its irrelevance was reinforced by frequent citation
of the questionable statistic that 98 %
of Catholic women
use contraceptives).
There is the argument that gay s e x is a sin, just as mast - erbation, premarital s e x, s e x that doesn't include normal inter-course and
use of contraceptives are all considered sins
for hetero people, depending on the Christian denomination.
By requiring Catholic organizations (such as schools and hospitals) to cover contraception and sterilization does not force anyone to to get
contraceptives or to be sterilized, it just means if the employees
of these organizations have insurance coverage
of contraceptives IF they CHOOSE to
use contraceptives or an operation such as a vasectomy or tubal ligation
for sterilization.
So, if an employee
of these organizations feel that its is immoral or against their religious conscience to
use contraceptives they can simply choose not to ask
for prescription or choose not to be sterilized.
Costs
for providing additional services like
contraceptives will be passed on to ALL consumers
of the insurance policy, whether they
use contraceptives or not.

of 2013,
for instance, Pope Francis gave an interview which was interpreted — or rather, misinterpreted — as downplaying the ongoing abortion Holocaust, «We can not insist only on issues related to abortion, gay marriage and the

contraceptives for females, including some

used in human birth control and even IUDs, and
contraceptive methods
for males, including vasectomies and castration.

for other factors that affect risk
of HIV infection (e.g., condom
use), the researchers found that users
of injectable DMPA were 50 % more likely to become infected with HIV than those not
using hormonal
contraceptives.
Still eager to make an MIS - like
contraceptive for all women that is cheap and easy to
use, perhaps as a pill, the researchers are searching libraries
of small molecules to find one that mimics the action

of other

The paper, written by authors at King's College London and Baylor College
of Medicine, reviews
contraceptive devices available including those already
used by military and aviation personnel, and calls
for more research into the effect
of hormone treatments on bone mineral loss in space.
Long acting reversible
contraceptives (LARCs) such as IUDs and subdermal (beneath - the - skin) implants are also safe and reliable methods
for this purpose but as
of yet, have not been extensively
used by astronauts.
A
contraceptive administered to the man can be given only
for a short time without actually affecting the development
of sperm... and, therefore, is not being considered
for actual clinical
use.
They adjusted
for a variety
of factors, such as age, physical activity, smoking, family history
