I love Samurai Shodown II & III, what made it harder for me for SS III was that I played it on the NEO-CD & the
pad was a bit crappy for fighting
games, it featured a kind
of clicking mini joystick that did not fit my taste... I was
used to play with this: More on topic, given the opportunity I would buy SS II & III, since so far only SS II is releasing, I wouldn't hesitate... hope you have the pro controller!
With Mortal Kombat
games and their relatively different combos that tend to
use left, right, up, and down a lot, I actually prefer standard controllers over even FightSticks simply because the d -
pad is better suited to it, and you don't need a ton
of buttons either.
Solo players can race through the
game's Grand Prix and Time Trial modes
using either the Circle
Pad or the motion - sensitive gyro sensor
of Nintendo 3DS to steer their karts.
Since your only inputs for the
game is tilting the screen left and right all
of these inputs seemed to work well, but for most
of my play though I stuck to
using the rear touch

It's farily clear that this
game is designed for the
use of an arcade stick, and neither the PS3's D -
