For the non-dairy milk, I chose to
use organic almond milk with cashew from So Delicious.

I have been buying my
organic extra virgin coconut oil online in 1 gallon pail because I
use it all the time for cooking, baking & beauty care along with other goodies like hemp seeds,
organic almonds, etc..
I did substiute the
Almond milk for coconut milk and
used organic raw honey instead of date syrup as i did nt have the other ingredients in.
I also
use the Welleda body oil, particularly important at the moment as I am pregnant and an
organic almond oil on slightly wet skin in the shower as I find it absorbs better to keep my skin hydrated.
Used organic honey instead of agave and LSA mix instead of pure
almond.
I
use a few different types of
almond butter, but I really like Meridian's
organic almond butter.
I
used cinnamon as well plus my milk was an
organic almond / tumeric variety made locally.
If you make sure to
use organic / healthy dark chocolate chips with minimal added sugar, and substitute dates for the honey (adding the dates to be pulsed before the
almonds on their own, otherwise they might not get smooth enough), then you could consider this recipe to be ENTIRELY healthy and sin - free.

We have evolved from all - purpose flour recipes to
using alternative options including
almond flour,
organic blue cornmeal and coconut flour.
I wanted to be diff and
use something other than oats or breadcrumbs to bind them, so I
used this
organic sprouted multigrain flakes cereal that I've been adoring lately (especially with ice cold unsweetened vanilla
almond milk).
A couple of things though, I
used almond flour / meal (1 1/3 cup as recommended) and instead of honey or maple syrup, I
used organic brown rice syrup,
used the same amount as listed for maple syrup, AND I added a handful of unsweetened
organic coconut flakes for added texture and flavor... turned out PERFECT!!
I
used store bought
organic Almond flour and it turned out perfect, soft and fluffy and so full of flavour.
Since I didn't have all of the ingredients I made a couple of changes — I
used almond butter (Artisana raw
organic) instead of
almond flour (same quantity), i
used a full teaspoon of cinnamon and baking powder, I added 1/4 cup of chopped walnuts.

I started out
using regular milk, then I switched to soy, then I switched to
organic regular milk, and now for about two years I've been an
almond milk fan through - and - through.
