I would be very cautious recommending the

palm shortening or any
palm fruit
oil products in your cooking, because even if they are
organic, it doesn't mean they were harvested sustainably.

palm oil for food and personal care applications means that less land needs to be
used, and if the
palm is grown
using sustainable practices (100 percent
organic, regenerative agriculture, third - party certifications, and social programs), it is extremely beneficial for local communities and the environment.
For high temp cooking / sauteeing,
use coconut
oil, butter or ghee, tallow (beef fat), lard (pork fat), duck fat,
palm oil, bacon fat (if from good quality,
organic bacon.
We
use palm oil in this house for times when i would like to
use coconut
oil but I know my husband would object as he is very sensitive to the taste of the coconut
oil (even the wonderful
organic versions that do not taste strong to me) and he is fine with the
palm oil.
