Use precooked chicken strips or rotisserie chicken to save time.
I did go back and forth if I should
use precooked chicken sausages or uncooked.
If you are
using precooked chicken, omit this step and add chicken with the black beans later.
Most of that time is spent waiting for the chicken to roast (up to 90 minutes — although you can save time by
using a precooked chicken, see Tidbits) and letting the soup simmer (1 hour).
To keep things easy,
I used precooked chicken (shredded) along with carrots and cucumbers.

precooked chicken for a buffalo
chicken English muffin pizza!

used coconut aminos in lieu of soy sauce and added
precooked grilled organic
chicken strips.
