Bart van Wees and his PhD student Ludo Cornelissen, both from the University of Groningen and FOM workgroup leader dr. Rembert Duine from Utrecht University have succeeded to
use spin waves in an electric circuit by carefully designing the device geometry.
The circuit is realized
using spin waves: wave - like perturbations in the magnetic properties of a material.
«First realization of an electric circuit with a magnetic insulator
using spin waves.»

«We've been thinking a lot about
using these methods to detect gravitational
waves from pulsars — incredibly dense stars that are the mass of our sun compressed into a 10 km radius and
spin at 10 to 100 times a second,» Schwab says.
NMR machine
use magnetic fields and radio

spins of atoms, and to change their orientation.
These
spin waves are being studied for potential
use in microelectronics.
This allows them to make
use of the
spin waves that are already present in the material due to thermal fluctuations, which requires a much smaller disturbance of the system and hence enables the
spin waves to be
used in an electric circuit.
Then, McCamey says, the researchers
use millimeter -
wave radiation to tweak the
spin of the electrons while monitoring the current flowing through.
The UCLA researchers were able to demonstrate that
using this multiferroic material to generate
spin waves could reduce wasted heat and therefore increase power efficiency for processing by up to 1,000 times.
A magnetized scanning tunneling microscope tip was
used to probe the
spin property of the quantum
wave function of the Majorana fermion at the end of a chain of iron atoms on the surface of a superconductor made of lead.

Pulsars, those
spinning, superdense neutron stars that send powerful «lighthouse beams» of radio
waves and light flashing through the Universe, have been «lying about their ages,» leading astronomers, and possibly particle physicists, to erroneous conclusions for the past 30 years, according to researchers
using the National Science Foundation's Very Large Array (VLA) radio telescope.
Indian scientists made direct contributions — ranging from designing algorithms
used to analyse signals registered by detectors to ascertain those from a gravitational
wave to working out parameters like estimating energy and power radiated during merger, orbital eccentricity and estimating the mass and
spin of the final black hole and so on.
We
use a testing technique called electron
spin resonance (ESR) that
uses a combination of a magnetic field and electronmagnetic
waves to directly detect the unpaired electrons of free radicals.
Movements frequently
used in freestyle include jumping, backing, pivots, sidestepping, weaving,
spinning, circling, crawling, bouncing,
waving and bowing.
These artificial materials are engineered with properties that wouldn't normally exist in nature, and in the case of IV's new

used to manipulate way satellite
waves connect to fast - moving objects on the Earth's surface.
Using sound
waves matching the resonant frequencies of specific MEMS sensors, the researchers made an Oculus Rift's display roll, HTC Vive and Microsoft HoloLens displays dither, Samsung Galaxy S7 and iPhone 7 VR apps also dither, toy robots
