I finally created a small wooden display piece
using your technique with black paint,
candle wax,
white paint and sanding it.
It would be almost criminal to paint this, so you could
use a
white basket or large plate to group other
white items,
candles, books covered with light paper, a cloth across the basket or plate, etc..
I added some touches of whimsy with this cute little bunny - ear dish from the Hearth And Hand Line at Target and also
used a set of
white pillar
candle holders topped with LED
candles to add to the tabletop!
