This week we take a look at the maturation of bitcoin, how it's grown, and how it can be
used as an asset class for investors.
However, both indices are
used as asset class representations in order to fulfill different portfolio goals.
Not exact matches
This is probably the most common
use of digital currency for individuals and non-professionals:
as an alternative, risky, potentially very rewarding sort of

The first portfolio is stock - only,
as before; the second portfolio will be made from multiple
asset classes by
using ETFs
as proxys.
All Canadian - listed ETFs in this
asset class are quite costly, but there is no good mutual fund alternative, so these are
as good
as you can get without
using US - listed ETFs.
I
used the DFA funds
as the benchmark for the value
asset classes.
It is dangerous to
use «the average long / short» fund

as fixed income in the later years.
Real estate is a great
asset to
use for diversification because it doesn't always move with stocks or bonds (although you do have to watch out for bubbles and down markets, just
as you do with any other investment
asset class).
But when you own value stocks by the hundreds or thousands
using index funds, you mitigate this risk and can take advantage of value stocks
as an
asset class.
ETFs are now a global product category tracking the performance of broad - based equity indexes, sector specific equity indexes and are
used to invest in other
asset classes such
as fixed income, currencies and commodities.
Using life insurance
as an
asset class offers you two benefits.
Market timing is the act of moving in and out of the market or switching between
asset classes based on
using predictive methods such
as technical indicators or economic data.
