using dried plums or prunes, containing many nutrients which can make up part of a healthy diet.

used ground
dried lemon peel (You can find the recipe in my Instagram feed.)
You can
use any stone fruit or sliceable fruit that you wish, really:
plums, apples,
dry pears, peaches, apricots, nectarines, pluots, cherries... all fair game.
I
used dates, almonds,
dried plums and chocolate chips.
Also it is winter and I did not have fresh basil or great tomatoes...

If you don't have dates on - hand, or you don't like the taste, you can also
use dried figs or
dried plums.
You could
use raisins or
dried plums as a direct substitute, or you could
use mashed banana, leave out the water, and maybe add a little coconut sugar so they will still be sweet enough.

used a mix of mint and cilantro (yum), and golden raisins and
dried plums.

plum jam that is made with no sugar, only very ripe
plums are
used, that are cooked for several hours up to a day until it becomes a thick dark
plum puree, slightly tart and tastes similar to

dried apricots (remember to always soak
dried fruit first).
For some of the fruit I

dried last summer from the fruit trees in our yard.

I don't think you can get fire roasted tomatoes in the uk so I
used tinned
plum tomatoes with some chopped up sun
dried tomatoes mixed in.
For these muffins, I
used a few
dried figs in the mix since they're my favorite
dried fruits along with raisins, currants,
plums, apricots, and mulberries.
