you used Flax Meal and not seed?
I've only ever
used the flax meal but have often wondered how chia would work.
I did not have hemp seeds on hand (I'll have to check the grocery store for them the next time I go) so I just
used flax meal instead (1 / 4c +2 T flax meal) and made pancakes out of it.

use your flax meal, maybe grind it a little finer in something like a coffee mill to get a powder consistency.

use flax meal, nut flour, or desiccated coconut instead.

used egg replacement myself, but apparently people get great result with «
flax eggs», which consists of
flax seed
meal mixed with water.
I add
flax meal to muffins and breads, not to mention
use it in white sauce, substituting part of the flour....

Lately, I've been making it vegan
using flax seed
meal instead of the egg and Earth Balance butter substitute.

used psyllium husk instead of golden
flax meal and while it tasted ok — I actually suggest against psyllium husk — I didn't really like the husk taste, plus it becomes slightly sticky while chewing.
