Canada can
use its global goodwill and commitment to
multilateralism to convince global players, especially the U.S., to solve these difficult problems collaboratively.
Finally, being a champion of
multilateralism, the Canadian government and relevant business associations could make
use of Canada's membership and influence in international organizations beyond the AIIB, like the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, and IMF, to secure contracts in the governmental procurement of goods and services along the Belt and Road route.
