Made again and
used spice cake instead of yellow
cake mix and it was even more of that fall warm flavor!
I too have
used it with
spice cake, and have also crushed the pecans and added to
cake mix prior to pouring, but the favorite version is with Yellow Butter flavored
cake mix.
i will say that i took a few liberties with the
spice / cheese
mix (i
used the parmesan but also added some sharp white cheddar, i
used the flour and the scallions but since i don't like thyme i just
used my penzey's fox point seasoning) and i baked it in my little 7 × 10 ″ ikea glass casserole dish because i don't have any
cake / pie pans.
I have Celiac so I will
use a yummy GF
spice cake mix, and instead of
using vegetable oil which is not a healthy fat, I'm going to
use COCONUT OIL.
Have made the pumpkin chocolate chip cookies
using the DARK CHOCOLATE CHIPS,
SPICE CAKE MIX, and CANNED PUMPKIN.
These mini pumpkin
cakes use just three ingredients:
cake mix, pumpkin purée, and pumpkin pie
spice!
Dried ginger is commonly
used as a
spice and flavoring agent in cookies,
cakes, and curry
mixes.
** If you can't find pumpkin
cake mix,
spice cake works — just
use the whole can of pumpkin puree and omit the oil.
I cut down on baking time by
using a
spice cake boxed
mix.

spice cake mix that someone commented about to create my own, and then
used the rest of this recipe.
