Instead of pine nuts,
I used toasted hazelnuts and hazelnut oil to flavour this winter pesto.
In place of flour,
I use toasted hazelnut meal, as this to me is the ultimate companion to chocolate.
This recipe
uses the Toasted Hazelnut and Cinnamon Milk as well as the Salted Almond Butter Coconut Whip on top.

For the other ingredients you'll want to build your salad around what's in season, and being that its spring here I
used a mixture of red leaf lettuce and a little arugula for spiciness, crispy radishes, fresh peas and fava beans, I added in some raw zucchini ribbons because I love the look and taste it gives to a salad, plus crunchy

You can really play around with different additives such as
toasted almonds or
hazelnuts in place of the walnuts, or
using dried cranberries, apricots, or dates in place of the figs.
While the onions cool,
toast the
hazelnuts: Wipe the skillet that was
used for the onions clean and return to medium heat.
We found

used Honeycrisp apples and they seemed to hold shape pretty well.
The second time I made it, I
