Magic mushroom enthusiasts have long believed that the drug's
ability to induce profound - feeling experiences could be therapeutically
useful.
In fact, it will all but require carefully swapping out team members to get access to specific spells and
abilities since no one character has a full set of
useful support
magic, and no one gets every healing spell.
Magic abilities so far are more like limited use Resins, but I found them rather
useful, even if a little cumbersome to use.
You'll start out a simple Freelancer who uses sword strikes to attack and can learn
useful abilities such as Examine to learn about the monsters you face, but you'll soon be able to wield powerful elemental
magic with the Wizard class (who, usefully, can cast defensive as well as offensive spells), or equip multiple weapons at once as a Charioteer (basically a horse - inspired warrior).
However, in this game there are unique perks such as: Being able to attend classes at the
Magic school, being able to play instruments, being able to perform spells (such as invisibility, which is
useful for eavesdropping) and the
ability to date the other residents (which is alarming if you think about it, considering you're a human and they're animals / aliens / fruit, etc).
So, you've got Spider - Man with his web bullets to take out distant targets, fast melee and webswinging
ability, Wolverine with his devastating melee attacks, Captain America with his flingable shield, and Thor's
useful ability to hover in the air and rain down his powerful
magic attacks from a safe distance.
