Even though it does provide a few tips that might be useful for some, there have been lots of posts written throughout the year that provide much more solid advice.

Great post Alex. However, I think it's more useful to look at volume in a macro scale (how much volume are you lifting per week, month, or better yet per training cycle).

I like seeing the messages and find this blog very useful, but I'm already inundated with emails, and it would be much more pleasant to get one email per day in which I could read all postings.

I think for printing books it's a different matter, I saw a forum post where Ted admitted he and Legend Press took on too much back in 2008, and that though difficult at the time he acknowledged critics like at Absolute Write had a useful purpose to serve in the community.

While I agree that orbital tuning is both warranted and useful, for purely illustrative purposed like this blog post using a non-tuned dataset will be much more powerful.
