This week, Nintendo is celebrating the game's 1 million

levels with a video.

The Wii U version of Mario Maker allows
users to
upload their
levels online for the world to play, whereas the 3DS version shutters any form of online sharing in favor of StreetPass and local wireless.

users will be able to

level creations to the server and download others, sorta like LittleBigPlanet.
The

levels can range from terrible to truly ingenious (Pro tip: don't
upload the first
level you create, because it will probably suck).
If Metanet followed the likes of Mario Maker and required creators to master their own
levels before
uploading, trawling through
user creations would feel more worthwhile.
This milestone means that, on average, a new
user made
level was made and
uploaded to the game's servers every 21 - seconds.
I was able to
upload a deliberately impossible
level, and while there's a «featured» tab which appears to be curated, many of the
user levels are poor.

Users can also take their
uploaded levels and create full chapters with par times, custom titles and music.

upload their
levels to Super Meat World where they can be played and voted on by the community.
This
level also sends information about the «Connected
User Experience and Telemetry» service to Microsoft, allowing Microsoft to see how well the service is functioning, when it last
uploaded an event, and if it had trouble
uploading event details to Microsoft.
