I am a
pure price action trader and I also
use trend analysis in my trading.
This one is much stronger, so it can be traded more successfully via
pure naked
price action trading, although I still recommend combining other indicators (even if you only
use the RSI at extremes) to filter out bad trades.
Pure price action trading excludes the
use of any trading indicator.
I suggest you stick with
pure price action trading strategies, like the ones I teach and trade, but whatever method you end up
using, you will trade it better by understanding the
price dynamics occurring on the chart below it.
But, what I am saying is that it should be viewed and
used as a compliment to technical analysis and it should be
used sparingly, when in doubt consult the charts and read the
price action, only
use Fundamentals to support your Technical view or out of
pure curiosity, never rely solely on Fundamentals to predict or trade the markets.
Steve Nison recommends trading candlestick patterns
using western technical indicators, although many
price action traders do well with
pure naked charts.
I Have
used it, but what has proven more profitable for me and I talk in my professional trading course is a combination of
pure price action, support / resistance and a special method to increase returns while minimising the risk to lose.
