I'm
using black chalk paint and leaving the oak top and shelves as they are.
I used black chalk paint for a dresser but noticed after painting it when you touch it there are finger prints on the paint it looks greasey.
Now

The APC

paints dry pretty fast, once the
black was dry I
used a 180 sandpaper and gave the whole surface a light sanding.
Note: You can not
use black chalky
paint for a chalkboard, looks good but your
chalk design ends up embedded into the
paint, you need to
use real chalkboard
paint my friends.
I did
paint the candlesticks — they
used to be
black and I
used some Annie Sloan
Chalk Paint on them in antique white.
Tip:
Use good quality masking tape the better the tape, the sharper and cleaner the lines.Alternatively you could try
painting stools with
black board
paint so your little ones can get creative with
chalk.

I
used some leftover
black chalk paint and a stencil brush to add the letters to each book page.
GATHER • Blown eggs, as many as desired, clean and dry •
Black chalkboard
paint (spray or brush - on) • Small flat paintbrush (if
using brush - on
paint) • Coloured
chalk • Paper towel • Tiny magnets and glue (optional) CREATE 1
Paint the eggs and let them dry.
