Lately, I've been experimenting with
using the cajun spice mix as a rub as opposed to mixing the spices in the ground meat by hand.
The recipe is perfect as is, but if you want variety, I found it is also delicious with carrots in place of broccoli, and
using cajun or jerk seasoning to rub into the chicken breasts before browning, in place of salt and pepper.
I couldn't agree more with you about
using cajun seasoning on chicken breasts before browning — I do that sometimes myself, too.
I used cajun seasoning which is kind of cheating because it's a blend of different spices, but it does contain sodium so I try not to overdo it.
I've never
used cajun seasoning on them but that's going to change.

used normal peppers that i fried with the chicken and
used the juice of a whole lime... i couldn't find the chilli powder but had some schwarzkoff

used that instead... would recommend and will be making again!
In the Instant Pot Wing recipe I have a link to my
cajun rub mix and I highly recommend
using something fresh like that.

using Amylu's chicken andouille sausage that I found at Costco.

I added Mrs. Dash table blend and
cajun seasoning and forgot to save the pasta water so I had to
use regular water!

cajun seasoning and half a teaspoon of fennel seed, and it was totally unbelievable.
