using chalky paint and I must say I really like it.
Not exact matches
I do not
use chalk
paint, usually just flat
paint and it often leaves a
chalky feel.
I am planning to try and make my own
chalky paint for quite a while now, and have seen various «recipes» to do this, most of which are
using POP.
The Chalked
paint was easy to
use, although it's a little thinner and looser than other
chalky finish
paint you might have
used.

used the clear coat protection but in time, the piece ended up yellowing.I have a cabinet I just finished
painting with
chalky paint that I need to seal.
For this project I'm
using some items I had on hand from previous projects (items the course teaches one to make from scratch), Americana Decor's
Chalky Finish
paint in black and white Liquitex Gesso.
After transferring my letters I lightly distressed the board, mostly around the edges, and
used a knife point to «pick up» the
paint that was over the wax, revealing the
chalky black beneath.
All I did was
use left over «
chalky paint» and concrete left over from our countertops.
Use your foam brush to gently dab
chalky finish
paint over each of the stencils.
For my
paint color, I
used Americana Decor ®
Chalky Finish ™
Paint in Relic.
I
use calcium carbonate to mix up my «
chalky»
paint.

use a wax by Watco that I brush on found it to show a
chalky mark on colors items.
I mixed up a quick batch of my diy
chalky paint primer that I
use on 90 % of my projects and
used my Homeright Finish Max to spray the chair back with my favorite white, Polished Pearl.

used Americana Decor

paint in everlasting (white), yesteryear (light gray), relic (dark gray), and treasure (turquoise).
I love chalk
paint and have always sealed with the wax before [like you said «I didn't know I had A choice] Today I started chalk
painting my kitchen cabinets, I'm
using the rustoleum
chalky paint for the first time rather then AS.
Chalk
paint is mostly
used for refinishing furniture, like when I recently
painted an unused baby changing table with Americana Decor

paint in carbon and converted the table into a beverage cart for my home's patio!
I'll
use chalk
paint a lot of the time, which has a really matte,
chalky finish, but any
paint in a flat sheen will work as well.

using regular acrylic

paint mixed with BB Frosch Chalk
Paint Powder when I
paint mine.
I haven't ever
used another brand of
chalky finish
paint so I have nothing to compare it to, but I love it.
This was my first time tackling a project like this and
using Americana
Chalky Finish
Paints.
For instance, one long horizontal
painting uses almost unscathed planes of
chalky color, their borders meandering but determined, like the lines of a watershed.
The mystical orange field reminded me of the pulsing tone
used by Francis Bacon in his
paintings of the 1980s, while the full moon and
chalky white of the conch shell below, separated by a gap that reads like it is miles wide, are more like the delicate denizens of a landscape by Yves Tanguy.
