Just made these, used 1/2 of all ingredients with 1 egg (
using my homemade almond butter so I did nt want to use it all up).
Sadly I don't know about the exact quantities and ratio if you're
using homemade almond butter.
I'm not sure if this was down to
using homemade almond butter (previously used cashew butter), not sifting the raw cacao or over-mixing in the Magimix — any thoughts on this would be appreciated (although this may be better directed at Madeleine as the recipe originated from her.)

Instead of sunflower seed butter,
I used homemade almond butter (alas, my brownies were not nut - free) and instead of vanilla extract I used 1 tsp ground vanilla bean.
If you require the need to claim it made from scratch, then
use a homemade almond butter.
I used homemade almond butter, but store bought works just as well.

I followed your recipe to the letter, beating for two minutes, oven at 350, and in fact
using my own
homemade almond butter and the batter was like no where near a texture I could «spoon» onto a cookie sheet.

I made mine
using a cup of dates presoaked in some hot water instead of the sweetners in it some of the soaking water instead of the
almond milk and
used homemade coconut
butter instead of the jared one and canellini beans (which I have now learned is the italian for white kidney beans which I had never heard of!).
Maybe I
used a drier
homemade almond butter.
This time around I
used homemade chocolate cashew
butter in place of the
almond butter because it's what I had on - hand and they tasted just as good if not better.
I
used Trader Joe's creamy unsalted
almond butter to get things going a little quicker, but you can also make it from raw or roasted
almonds for a fully
homemade treat.
What a big hit, I
used carob molasses in lieu of the maple syrup &
homemade almond chai
butter as that's what was in the cupboard & the result was fantastic... I have a very happy man!!
So for this recipe I had no choice but to
use my own
homemade almond butter, which I calculated out to be $ 2.09 for the half cup I
used in the recipe, although you may be able to get a better price than me if you buy a jar of prepared
almond butter.

Here are a few of the endless ways to put this creamy,
homemade almond butter with a «smoked nuance» to good
use.
You can
use any kind of
almond butter you like in these cookies, store - bought or
homemade.
You can
use almond milk in the cupcakes (although I recommend
homemade as opposed to the mostly water carton stuff for moisture / richness), but the frosting won't work without coconut
butter.
Making
almond butter using the Vitamix was probably the only reason why my first
homemade almond butter was a success.
I especially loved all of her little tips and tricks, like how she makes
homemade almond milk by
using almond butter so that no soaking or straining is involved — genius!
