Some argue that we need
liquid fuels, and we have large amounts of coal and
natural gas, so it does not matter if we
use an inefficient way of converting these fuels to a
liquid form.
While
natural gas has a slight environmental benefit relative to the
use of conventional
liquid fuels, such as gasoline and diesel, the environmental performance of
natural gas can be greatly improved by procurement from renewable sources.
