I am beginning to include cod - liver oil and have been
using pastured butter for a year.
I do
use pasture butter and coconut palm sugar, so I don't know how that would differ from other fats and sugars, but with the almond extract, wow, these are really really good!
We only
use pastured butter, olive oil, avocado and coconut oil (both expeller pressed and virgin).
We now
use pastured butter, lard from pastured hogs, and centrifuged coconut oil to cook with because of all the terrible things we've learned about other oils, but I must admit I'm confused about butter.
After all of my experimenting with Elana's chocolate chip cookie recipes, I found that the measurements in this recipe are really good, but I only
use pasture butter in my cookies and I don't use agave and have been using coconut palm sugar with great success (melted in a pot with the butter and 2 TBSP of water).
Not exact matches
You can simply
use raw cocoa
butter and that will give you a finished candy that melts, or you can add raw
pastured butter and coconut oil, which have their own health benefits.
Turns out, substituting
pastured butter or grass - fed ghee added a remarkable depth of flavor I'd only previously found when
using rendered fat from cooking fajitas.
If you are a coffee drinker, I recommend
using an organic, mold - free coffee and putting 2 tablespoons of coconut oil and 2 tsp of
pastured butter in it.
The one thing that remains the same with every chicken that I make is that I
use a stick of
pastured butter!

These cookies are gorgeous, buttery, rich and are easy to make with only 6 ingredients including almond flour, honey, coconut sugar and blended with rich
butter (please
use pasture / grass - raised
butter, read why HERE).
If you don't have access to grass - fed or
pastured butter, omit it and just
use organic coconut oil or MCT oil.

The cod liver oil I
use does not have a kosher certification (Green
Pasture Fermented Cod Liver Oil and
Butter Oil blend).
Also
uses organic Virgin Coconut Oil and
butter from
pastured grass - fed cows.
The key is to
use the highest quality
butter you can find, preferably organic and from
pastured cows.
We
use the Green
Pastures brand of Fermented Cod Liver Oil (usually with High Vitamin
Butter Oil added) which I get from here.
For those who can not take cod liver oil, I recommend the Green

Use healthy fats like
pastured butter, olive oil and coconut oil.
Their family now
uses butter liberally, and Rikki makes homemade broths and soups from
pasture raised chicken.
I
use only
pastured eggs, grass fed
butter, grass fed beef,
pastured pork and free range chicken, only organic veggies, no commercially prepared foods whatsoever.
Pasture - raised
butter and cream (Kerrygold is my favorite
butter and Organic Valley makes a great grass - fed heavy cream I
use daily in my coffee!)
I'm thinking of
using Bell's seasoning mix and
using cauliflower as the «bread», with diced onions, celery,
pasture butter, and home made chicken stock — have you tried this, and do you have any recommedations?
Then I saw this recipe and it only
uses 1/2 cup of chips, so I think I will just
use this recipe, but I
use 1/2 cup of
pastured butter and 1/2 cup of coconut palm sugar (melted in a pot with 1 - 2 TBSP water).

Remember that the right saturated fats are perhaps your most essential nutrient, including organic raw coconut oil,
butter from
pastured cows, hemp oil, and olive oil, the last two should not be
used for cooking.
