using raisins as a base!

using raisins in no - bake bites, more so than dates because I like to hoard my dates to be stuffed with nut butter!
I personally like using dates to sweeten no - bake recipes naturally, and I also like
using raisins, figs, bananas, or applesauce.

I also thought about
using raisins, or coconut sugar, but I didn't have either, so I just went with what I had.

I didn't have any goals of
using these raisins, I just like the flavors and smell when rum is combined with lemon and orange peel and vanilla powder.
If you can't find dates at all you can try
using raisins, dried figs, dried plums or dried apricots (remember to always soak dried fruit first).
Oh, and lastly, I don't love
using raisins; my health food store has date pieces coated in oat flour (to prevent them sticking together)... so yummy!

using raisins and add in extra oats and nut butter!

I found Lattes and Leggings» version (adapted from Giada at Home) the simplest to follow, so I thought I'd debut my biscotti - baking with the recipe she shared,
using raisins and almonds instead of white chocolate and macademia nuts.
I just made
these using some raisins instead of cranberries & cashew nuts instead of sunflower seeds (as I'd run out) & it's delicious!
The oats in the recipe provide fibre and if
using raisins, a good source of iron.

use raisins or dates if you like), a touch of water, and some ground, defatted peanut powder which is just whole peanuts that have had the oil removed.

I just made this quinoa salad for dinner but didn't have all ingreds so
used raisins instead of currants, basil and cilantro instead of dill, lightly steamed mini broccoli florettes instead of grated zuke, and sliced avocado instead of feta.

VERY easy, I baked mine in st patricks decorated cupcake liners and drizzled some powder sugar icing on tops, and I only
used raisins.
I used half white and half whole wheat flour, plus substituted olive oil for some of the butter, and
used raisins instead of currants, since I had raisins on hand.

You could
use raisins or dried plums as a direct substitute, or you could use mashed banana, leave out the water, and maybe add a little coconut sugar so they will still be sweet enough.
