I always like to
use a day cream with SPF, but many have other benefits, as well.
I've been
using the day cream, night cream and eye cream for just over a week now and have to say that I have been extremely impressed.
After
using this day cream for a month my skin is so soft, I don't have as many breakouts, and it certainly has had an overall calming effect.
I use the day cream on my face, arms, hands, you name it.
Now you know I love my makeup simple, and that I care a lot about skin care;
I use a day cream, a night cream, an eye cream, and even a retinol oil to keep my skin looking fly.

using it as a night

use my stabilized whipped
cream (made with a little plain gelatin) for these, which creates a topping that is more solid and which will last a couple

If you freeze the ice
cream base in a pan and then break it into chunks the next
day (or even
use an ice cube tray for automatic chunks!)

This fall my family was gathered around my mother, whom we were caring for in her final
days... we took time to celebrate a birthday with a special kind of carrot cake... we
used the leftover carrots / apples / celery and who knows what else from the morning's juice (my dad's a bit of a health nut) and turned it into an amazing cake, complemented by walnuts, pineapple and, of course, decadent
cream cheese frosting, covered with fresh toasted coconut... it was so moist and delicious... the making of it a wonderful memory and the eating of it sublime.
You can whip the
cream a
day earlier as well and refrigerate to
use the next

I made ice
cream using half milk, half
cream back in the
day but we tend to make cashew based ones now.
I
used coconut milk for the creaminess here and the coconut flavour wasn't too strong for me when combined with plenty of garlic, earthy leeks and spinach as well as a good dose of nutritional yeast, but if you're not a fan then you could swap in any other non-dairy
cream (soy, coconut etc - there are various available commercially these

use some yogurt for this sauce, then it is really a super quick recipe, but now I had a lot of cashew
creams left from the
day before, so I thought of trying it out with that, and I am so happy I did, it tastes amazing!
Using frozen banana helps give the shake a creamy, ice
cream like texture which makes it perfect on a warm

I think the no churn
cream - condensed milk recipe is my most frequently
used one these
days as it is so quick to knock together!
I toast then coarsely chop my filberts (hazelnuts)- and you could
use so many different yummy crunchies here - pine nuts, pecans, toasted slivered almonds, even croutons of
day old crusty bread... for those watching their saturated fat,
use evaporated skim milk instead of the
cream - just as yummy!
