The change in our
weather got me in the mood for all things fall yesterday, and I woke
up extra early to make the kiddos a special breakfast, well at least more special than the
usual quick hurry
up and eat before school breakfast.
When the
weather begins to warm
up, my taste buds simultaneously begin craving fresh, cool foods — and therefore my
usual hot breakfast of oatmeal is the last thing I want in the morning.
Some good
weather news (for a change): Upstate New York is shaping
up to have a warmer - than -
usual spring.
I woke
up this morning, and per my
usual ritual I checked the
weather...... 47 degrees brrr I am pretty much cold just writing it.
Tights, a crinoline or slip (crinolines do an awesome job of keeping you warm in the winter), heavier weight skirt or dress, cardigan or sweater, and vintage winter coat make
up my
usual cold
weather attire, with heavy weight repro denim (I swear by my beloved Freddies of Pinewood jeans) for my causal days or if I'm going to be walking though much snow.
And since our hot
weather has shown
up a bit earlier than
usual so did the cropped pants.
I don't see why a male figure who works in the finance industry can't mix it
up a little bit for work, especially in Hong Kong, hitting towards autumn when the
weather gets even more bipolar than
usual.
My secret's out, I'm so not into the gym (about a year ago I gave
up my membership to spend my Equinox budget on shoes, oops #prioirties) but I am into crop tops so when the
weather warms
up, I ditch the donuts (and by ditch I mean scale down to 2 week instead of the
usual 4ishhh) and switch soda for water.
I suppose that its helpful in retrospect to refer to the big storm that happened in January 2015 as Juno, but the conspiracy theorist in me has all the
usual suspects lining
up to talk about extreme
weather like super storm Sandy and Super Storm Juno and lets not forget Katrina........
