People who are being referred to as CIO advocates are loving caring parents who have
usually read lots of books and tried a myriad of things before allowing a child to cry.

With two kids running around, I didn't have much time to revel in the glow
of being pregnant, but I did manage to
read a
lot of books about home birth,
usually while watching the kids play outside so we could all get our Vitamin D. Overall, this pregnancy felt like my healthiest one yet.
That's partly because people devalue things they don't pay for, partly because they'll download free
books in genres they don't
usually read, and also because a
lot of people simply hate self - publishing (change is scary).
Mind you, I met a
lot of these people AFTER I had
read and loved their
books,
usually emailing to ask for a guest post or an interview.

lot of experience in this arena being a debut author, but I do know some local bookstores are open to indie authors holding signings at their locations, and
usually the author does a
reading from the
book as well.

books only, I
usually give a few
books away because I want my
book on GoodReads to get added to a
lot of TBR (to be
read) lists.
I have to turn down a
lot of the requests I get —
usually because the
book doesn't sound interesting, the author was rude, didn't
read my FAQs, or sent me something that is obviously not targeted (I
read romance
books primarily but I've had people send me cookbooks and investment non-fiction too).

Over the years I've
read a
lot of videogame related
books,
usually in the form
of art
books which also offer some insights into a game's development, and have to say that this is one
of the better ones, sitting just below the rather excellent Aberstergo Entertainment Employee's Handbook, which was a wonderful meta work, written as though it was a genuine handbook from within the Assassin's Creed universe and thereby providing some stellar information and providing a great companion to Assassin's Creed: Unity.
As a guy who
reads a
lot of books story is important for me but I
usually overlook bad plots in games since I mainly play games for the gameplay so when a game shows up with a pretty damn good story it's going to get my attention.
