Replacing
the vaccuum with CO2 would no doubt reduce the conductive and convective insulation (ie increase conductive & convective heat loss) theoretically radiative heat loss should remain the same.
in other words, why is the universe not just a giant
vaccuum with nothing in it, as opposed to the matter - filled cosmos that we live in?

You should, of course, make sure nothing is going wrong
with the computer,
vaccuum, alternator, etc - but if all that stuff checks out, you can probably ignore this issue.

Gasses conduct heat between two plates of glass at a rate proportional to the speed of the gas, and less efficiently
with greater distance between the plates [the effect also varies in different pressure regimes, it is very efficient at low
vaccuum, because gas molecules can travel from plate to plate without being intercepted.
An interesting question is whether the heat loss would be less than if the
vaccuum were replaced
with Nitrogen.
Why not just put up a lemonade stand
with free banana muffins while you
vaccuum and paint your hillbilly neighbours squalor.
I dustmop the floors and every few minutes as I go, stop, turn the mop over and
vaccuum it (and the little growing pile it was pushing around), then continue
with the mopping.
I live in FL
with no carpets (only rugs on tile), but when you have a dog you need a great
vaccuum since they carry in so much dirt on their paws.
