value versus your peers who are probably going to continue to advertise 2 for $ 20.

of November, and around the same time they were busy devaluing the
value of AAdvantage Miles, American Airlines came
out with an early Cyber Monday
promotion whereby you could purchase AAdvantage Miles at around 2.0 cents / mile.
At the top - end hotels there's definitely
value to be had
out of this
promotion (especially during busier times) but, when prices are very high, award nights can be harder to find so make sure there's availability before you commit to a points purchase.
If you're a regular at Marriott properties, earning miles is not the best use
of your stays or nights — you would get a lot more
value out of the loyalty program if you were earning Marriott Rewards points, so this
promotion really isn't for you.
They are also one
of the easiest point currency to straight
out buy — frequent
promotions allow you to buy points for 0.5 ct / pt, making it easy to top up your account for a high -
value redemption!
If you've earned an any category free night at a Hyatt property through any
of the Hyatt's special
promotions you want to make sure you're getting the most
value out of your stay.
There's an excellent new Amex Offer at the moment that I think almost anyone who is targeted should be able to get
value out of, especially as it can be stacked with another
