It sounds like the car has
a valve body issue.

If the vehicle already has a lot of miles on it, then it may have an
issue with the
valve body.
In most cases, the
issue of «self acceleration» is caused by one of the following; a damaged throttle
body, vacuum leak, electronic throttle control, or idle control
valve issue.
Usually, this
issue is caused by a faulty idle control
valve or restriction of fuel flow through the throttle
body.
If the idle control
valve is good then the problem is typically caused by a vacuum leak or an
issue with the throttle
body.
This is a transmission internal
issue of trying to go into reverse and drive at the same time from a leaking
valve body.
