The girls in the randomised controlled trial (those involved in the VIP programme) were given four
educational sessions by a school nurse on
various topics including not smoking, drinking or taking drugs in pregnancy, good nutrition, the financial
costs of having a baby, sexual health, contraception, and respectful relationships.
It is
cost effective and flexible, thereby allowing online students who can not afford traditional universities or those who are unable to complete their education due to
various factors, to achieve their
educational goals.
