VegKitchen recommends Tofurky or Field Roast brands
for the
vegan sausage; they're less processed than the kind that used isolated soy protein.
For those of you who are wondering, I used the Field Roast Chipotle
vegan sausage and it is OK.
Was not chili like at all
for some reason (followed recipe as is, except I could only find Italian
sausage style
vegan sausage)..
But why not add corn, black beans, green chilies,
vegan sausage, cooked diced potato, or some of all and enjoy it as a chunkier dip, as a sauce
for nachos, a filling
for enchiladas, or even as a base
for a casserole, say potato and Poblano?
The chickpeas are there
for protein, but if you're into
vegan sausage, chop up a few links and throw them in.
