Since going vegan I've noticed a lot of
vegan versions of things require fancy, hard to find or expensive ingredients (omg, so many cashews, and... ahem, gums and things lol)...
You guys loved my Asian - inspired recipes, as well as my recipes for
vegan versions of things that are typically not - so - vegan.
Not exact matches
I have always had this
thing for cheesecakes, especially in summer, and you've got many cheesecake recipes on the blog, like the honey lavender cheesecake, the salted caramel apple cheesecake, or other
vegan, gluten and lactose free
versions such as the
vegan raspberry cheesecake (a readers» favorite), the raw mango cheesecake, or the yuzu coconut cheesecake, to mention just a few
of them.
It's one
of my favorite
things to experiment with — but this
version would probably photograph much better than the
vegan version anyways;)
This
vegan version has all the tang and consistency
of the real
thing, and serves as wonderful dip, too.
It's a fair
thing to wonder, but I swear it really does work in this
vegan version of a B.L.T.A. sandwich.
Here's the Chinese restaurant classic, peppersteak, in a hearty, «beefy»
vegan version using seitan in place
of the real
thing.
I know what you mean, I feel the same about Polish cuisine, quite often it's really fatty and full
of meat But I also noticed that people do like
vegan versions of really traditional dishes, so it must be a
thing (technical term)!
