I prepared the recipe
from Epicurious.com and found it to be so versitile that I've used it in
stews, as a rub on pork roasts, and sprinkled over steamed & roasted
vegetables!
Our main standbys are probably: fagioli all» uccelletto — tuscan bean / tomato / sage
stew, basically posh beans on toast, very quick and easy to make
from tinned beans dal - roti - shaak — any simple dal, a spicy
vegetable (often roasted cauliflower or stir - fried cabbage) and frozen parathas (which are amazing), with yoghurt and chutney on the side pasta with some sort of veg plus feta, olive oil and lemon.
If you're working with
stewed vegetables, beans, meats, etc., they need acid to keep the dish
from becoming flat.
You'll find everything
from vegetable - based bowls of goodness, like the white - bean - and - escarole soup, to wholesome poultry numbers, such as healthy rosemary - chicken dumpling, to substantial
stews, including a Persian lamb - and - spinach version.
Stir it into
stews, smother roasted
vegetables with it or try making this Harissa Yogurt to douse onto everything
from potato salad to chicken.
