I've been a
vegetarian for 35 years, and watching people
eat dead animals is really disgusting.
It makes me feel that the term «vegan» is extremely unfortunate and misleading, because the term does not emphasize or even signify respect
for animals or living beings or creatures, as it would benefit from doing, but rather uses a derivative form of «vegetable» or «
vegetarian», which makes it sound as if the central point is —
eating vegetation, i.e. plants, which makes it sound like a diet.
In fact, 47 percent of Americans now
eat at least one
vegetarian meal a week.Although
for some, trying Indian cuisine remains intimidating and may seem too difficult to prepare.
Hi Ella, I do really like this post and agree with most of what you're saying, however I would like to know what you think about the ethical side of being vegan /
vegetarian because personally I think you SHOULD restrict yourself from
eating animal products, considering the pain and suffering an animal has had to go through unecessarily
for you to
eat them.
I started following you, cause my husband and I where moving to Mumbai and we didn't feel like
eating meat there — wonder why -LRB-????;)-RRB- So its been a great inspiration to me
for years and helped me get through my
vegetarian adventure in India.
It's the perfect option
for a
vegetarian with meat
eating friends — there's a little something
for everyone!
I would like to
eat more
vegetarian meals, but they need to have plenty of protein
for husband and son.
I really want to make these again as I have a
vegetarian daughter and my husband
eats more low - carb
for his diabetes.

for everybody who wants to
eat healthy and tasty
vegetarian food but not fall back on only pasta dishes and standard salads heavy on cheese.
After being a very lucky, healthy (ish)
vegetarian for over 30 years I have recently gone pescatarian paleo (if there is such a thing) after struggling with the sugar cravings and constant battles to want to
eat all the time.
It's thoughtful food with great ideas
for adding protein and wholesome carbs to your
vegetarian diet and also works really well if you don't
eat dairy.
Every element of this
vegetarian pack - and - tote lunch — except
for the yogurt — can be left out at room temperature until you're ready to
eat.
I'm
vegetarian, lacto - ovo, (mostly
for the reason that I have never been able to swallow meat, even as a child) and I will
eat gelatin, but I have to say that it bothers me a little.

As a
vegetarian living in Paris now
for a good few years i thought that i'd warn you that they're really big meat eaters over here and tend to hide meat in things that you kinda wouldn't expect which always annoys me, saying this there are some great finds to be had, one of mine and my (French and meat
eating) boyfriend's favs is Galerie 88 just behind to the Hotel de Ville - 88, quai de l'Hôtel de Ville, 75004 Paris, the gazpacho and split pea soup (which i want so desperately to recreate but can't seem to...) are both musts, lovely bohemian style and simple great tasting food.

My daughter, a
vegetarian for years, gave me several of your books, and you taught my to really enjoy
eating this way.
I'm a
vegetarian and the husband isn't, so I'm always looking
for something filling and hearty that I can
eat and he'd enjoy.
For those days, I love re-creating
vegetarian version of recipes with lots of fresh ingredients, and bold flavors to enjoy a flavorful weeknight dinner no matter if we
eating meat or not.

I've been looking
for some healthy options to
eat at lunch now that I've decided to become a
vegetarian.
For the past couple years my 14yo daughter has been talking about not
eating meat too (gross - out factor), plus she has friends who are
vegetarian.
My husband
ate his as shown... I opened up a can of
vegetarian refried beans and used it as the filling along with the sauteed peppers and onions and of course cheese
for myself... and
for the kids, it was simply refried beans and cheese.
For those that are
vegetarian or don't
eat red meat... the quinoa «fried» rice is amazing on it's own, so give that a try before you pass this one up!
