I missed them when I went vegetarian but there are now some restaurants that carry them
with vegetarian gravy!
Chana - Methi Curry is a vegan /
vegetarian gravy curry made with chickpeas (garbanzo beans) and fenugreek leaves.
The line features chicken flavor base, vegetarian vegetable, beef flavor base, sautéed vegetable (mirepoix),
vegetarian gravy prep, low - sodium vegetarian vegetable, roasted garlic and roasted onion.
2 packages seitan or «wheat meat,» unflavored, preferably chicken - style 1 box Pepperidge Farm frozen pastry sheets 1 large red or white onion, diced 2 tablespoons vegetable oil or Earth Balance margarine Herbes de Provence, preferably including dried lavendar 2 packets «hunter's sauce» or Hain's
vegetarian gravy Cornbread stuffing mix (check to be sure it doesn't contain meat products) Celery, olives, or other veggies, chopped (optional)
I can make a lowfat turkey gravy, but the others at the table want the real (fat) thing, so I've started making a
separate vegetarian gravy instead.
While this lentil loaf is great any day of the year (and leftovers make terrific school or work lunches), you can smother it in
vegetarian gravy, serve with your favorite potato dish, and enjoy it in place of turkey, ham, or even tofurkey for a holiday entrée.
Remove all 4 from the water, then cut off one end of the cling film to release the haggis then serve with roasted root vegetables, potato and
some vegetarian gravy.

This I then added to
the vegetarian gravy recipe found in «Smashed Potatoes with Roasted Garlic Gravy, Gourmet, November 2008».
It's great with
the vegetarian gravy in the same menu.
After a few puzzled looks, senior food editors Chris Morocco and Rick Martinez admit that
vegetarian gravy is definitely possible, if you're willing to put in the same time and care that you do dedicate to regular turkey gravy.
