Cook and season your protein and
veggies with healthy primal fats, such as
ghee, coconut oil, avocado oil, extra virgin olive oil, or animal fat from well - raised animals.
Notes: I love sauteing the
veggies in
ghee or coconut oil
with some sea salt.
As always, I had my keto kit
with me so used another serving of my dressing and topped my steamed
veggies with 2 tsps of
ghee.
Use a leftover grain from last night's dinner — quinoa or brown rice work great — some leftover roasted
veggies and top it
with a
ghee fried egg and avocado.
When working from home, I throw in
veggies in the oven
with coconut oil,
ghee, herbs and spices and then roast them until I get hungry.
I currently feel that I do best on my own (non-named) gut healing protocol which includes tons of
veggies, some fruit, eggs on a rotational basis (as I suspect a sensitivity), lots of bone broth, no dairy except occasional cooking
with ghee, no refined sugar except the occasional bit of dark chocolate, no grains except the occasional serving of quinoa that has been soaked for 6 - 8 hours, and limiting alcohol intake.

with bone broth and have one serving each day of the week • Toss spinach and colorful fruits and vegetables into a high - powered blender and enjoy that for breakfast every morning • Make cabbage and / or spinach wraps using grass - fed meat and dressings

I'm «plant - based», meaning my plates are filled
with mostly
veggies and fruits, but healthy, responsible animal products like grass fed
ghee, pasture - raised chicken, grass fed beef, and BROTH are also an important part of my diet.
A typical cup of mixed
veggies prepared
with 1/2 tablespoon of oil or
ghee, which is clarified butter; onions; garlic; and ginger provides only about 60 calories.
