Akufo - Addo is credited with helping to preserve the peace of the country by the statesmanlike manner in which he accepted the
adverse verdict of the Court, at a time of high tension in the country.
While commiserating with the families of those that lost their loved ones, the State Government said the mishap had again brought to the fore the need for the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) to respect the
recent verdict of the Court of Appeal which upheld the powers of the State Government to control its intra-inland waterways.
On the morning of that day [April 9] between five and six o'clock the prisoners, among them Admiral Canaris, General Oster, General Thomas and Reichgerichtsrat Sack were taken from their cells, and
the verdicts of the court martial read out to them.
While respecting

In the same way that
the verdicts of the courts should trump the protestations of organized crime, so the peer - reviewed literature must always trump internet cacophony or the opinions of ideological think tanks.
