YouVersion released their year - end summary recently, which has a lot of interesting parts to it, one of them being
the verse of the year listed by country and for the world in general.

There was the whole «Prayer
of Jabez» fade a few
years ago that was basically telling christians that God was a great cosmic cash machine, then there is the
verses that teach people how to be true followers
of Christ... but the part
of giving up your worldly possessions to the needy seems to be left out
of that
list.
Following is a
list of novels, biographies, and memoirs in
verse, published within the last five
years, that reflect diverse experiences, cultures, and characters.
It's no surprise to see Jacqueline Woodson's memoir - in -
verse, Brown Girl Dreaming, on this
list, and you'll likely see it on several more award
lists before the end
of the
year.
While recent
lists have included many names that were unfamiliar even to those well -
versed in contemporary art, three
of this
year's contenders have had high - profile showings in major galleries over the past
year.
Every couple
of years, however, someone does write a law review article that I actually look forward to reading, and I now add Caleb Mason, Associate Professor
of Law, Southwestern Law School, to that short
