An action menu screen will drive viewers insane in less than 10 minutes if its chirpy
background pop
music is left turned up too loud, but apart from the requisite chapter stops (
of which there are a dozen) and a
version of the trailer, there are unfortunately no supplemental extras, not even an EPK - style making -
of featurette.
I know the Limited Edition
version of the game comes with an audio soundtrack, but it would have been nice to hear the
background music be more prevalent in the audio mixing.
I was worried that it could be a port, but I don't think it is for four (circumstantial) reasons: 1) That's «Breath
of the Wild» Link; 2) the
background music during the shot
of the Smash Bros logo is not from the Wii U or 3DS
versions; 3) the credits don't mention Bandai Namco; and 4) that's a new logo.
The Fish Stage and Cow Stage theme, for example, is a tranquil melody sung by a chorus
of Japanese children, while the
background music for the epic final stage is a dramatic extended
version of the Katamari Damacy theme.
The visuals are just as colorful and psychedelic as the previous
version of the game, with a combination
of retro sounds you recognize and remixed
background music.
I liked what I played
of the trial
version — the mechanics are solid, and the tones created with each button press mesh well with the
background music.
In the earlier Japanese only
versions, some
of the songs utilized the official
music video as the
background animation.
There are,
of course, a lot
of additions from the PS2
version: more
backgrounds, more areas, more enemies, more
music and more skills.
The accuracy between
versions may vary, but in the case
of titles such as Aladdin, you still get to experience the highly animated characters and detailed
backgrounds of the original game with the
music recreated in MOD format.
The «Noctis Lucis Caelum Pack» will include five additional outfits for Noctis, the «Hammerhead» stage, the BGM (
background music)
of Final Fantasy XV «s «Stand Your Ground» and «Apocalypsis Noctis» as a remix
version.
Similar to last year's PS4 release, the PC
version comes packed with all the content featured in the International editions
of both FFX and X-2 as well as the option to swap between the original and remastered
background music.
