Hi Ella, I was the same as you and used to love an american frozen
version of this dip which I am sure has vey few nutrients!
I have long loved the unhealthy
version of this dip, but the thought of Velveeta just gives me the creeps so I haven't had it in forever... that is all about to change with this recipe!
Ironically enough I just posted a recipe for
my version of a dip.
I originally posted
a version of this dip back in September 2012 (it was one of my first blog posts) but it's now in draft mode so y» all can't see it.
That is when it hit me, why not make a healthy, guilt free
version of this dip.
The recipe here is a stovetop method, but you can also prepare
a version of this dip entirely in your microwave using the technique at the bottom in Tidbits.

I use it finely chopped, raw, in place
of apple or half and half with apple to make a healthier
version of a Waldorph type salad or sandwich spread or
dip....
