Good question — this
dish WILL be spicy if you
use a spicy salsa or taco seasoning, but if you
use a mild
version of both, it's not spicy at all.
We
use the «cuisine»
version which is odourless and does not detract from the flavour
of the
dish.
This is a healthy
version of a meat heavy rice
dish that is just as delicious and
uses tempeh to create a meat - free mince.
The jalapenos make this
dish quite hot; if you prefer a milder

use a second can
of diced green chiles instead.
I did double the recipe and replaced the bacon with turkey bacon, and
