Summing over a hemisphere upward and hemisphere
downward give the downard and upward fluxes, the difference between them being a net (upward or
downward) flux (per unit area), which can also be found by summing (Weighted by the cosine of the
angle from
vertical) the net intensity over a hemisphere, or the intensity over a whole sphere.
