Coutinho is the real problem for me in that Liverpool team.He can destroy midfield strategies. That's why I worry when I see us with no DMF.Years back (14/15) I remember Coquelin back pocketing Coutinho yet it's likely Wenger will bench him for no reason. That guy has so much potential if only he's used wisely. He has the abilityto mark players out of a game and intercept many passes.I know many of you will call me stupid and say he's average but imagine if Coquelin was used in a very defensive sense.Being brilliant tactically is all about producing the best system with the players you have and clearly that's not what's happening.I already lose hope when I see Kolasinac and Bellerin at WB whsn clearly it doesn't suit them.WB's are so important in a 3 back but clearly we've ignored that.

This is simple a very intelligent child can solve this problem.Firstly today our keeper was very poor however i know he will come good.By the way why is Paulista no getting his chance. What i have observed about arsenal since we signed Mertesacker from day one and since he started playing is that Mertesacker hardly gets involved you will usually see him a few times because he does not want to get caught out.e has always been a weak link in the defence even in his greatest performances here. When i see us playing with a high line and he is there i always laugh. It is just a mistake waiting to happen and i can tell u that it will happen again this season.Secondly why is Ramsey Cazorla and Ozil playing in the same line - up in a 4 -5-1 formation. That is just not right though it will win you some matches due to individual brilliance. It wont work at all.Lastly the least i say about Giroud the better i am not judging him on one game. One would imagine if he was not french and like chinese will he be getting these chances under Wenger. To me he will always be an average player and i will stand by my word even if he has good games.

It's difficult to blame Ozil for the difficulties he's faced at Arsenal without looking at the big picture... like the fans, he too was lied to by Wenger... there is no doubt in my mind that he was told by Wenger that he was trying desperately to recreate our earlier success by acquiring players that fit the system he ran when Henry was in his prime... as we know this hasn't happened... in order for Ozl to flourish he needs some speed up front, forwards that can make intelligent runs, a boss in the midfield to compensate for his obvious defensive liabilities and defenders who can transition from defence to offence quickly and efficiently... much like he had in Real and with the German National squad... unfortunately he ended up on a squad that has a striker who plays with his back to goal, very few intelligent runs into the box, minus Sanchez, no one to take pressure off him in the midfield, once Cazorla was injured, average defensive midfielders around him, which simply highlighted his lacking defensive qualities and defenders who lack the necessary cutting edge when it comes to transitional passing... instead of blaming Ozil, which is simply too easy, especially considering his mopey disposition, we should be asking ownership and / or Wenger why they brought him in if they didn't intend on doing what was necessary to get the best from him... can you imagine Ozil playing with the likes of Henry, Viera, Petit and Pires, it would be incredibly to watch and even more difficult to stop... so the only thing different between his experiences in Real and with the German team versus his time at Arsenal are the players around him and we all know who is in charge of making those decisions, the Grinch who stole soccer
Chelsea finished 10th in the league before Chelsea took over — and the only «new» players he got were: Victor Moses (who nobody thought was actually a good player), Marcos Alonso (thought to be an average player who had flopped at Sunderland), David Luiz (PSG flop, was being kicked out because Marquinhos took his spot), and Kante (very good signing)(and Bats I guess).

In the midfield, (including RWB & LWB) we have a whole bunch of tweeners... none offer the full package, none make sense in our manager's current favourite formation, except for Sead on the left and Ox on the right, and all of them have never shown any consistency for more than a heartbeat... Sead, who I'm including in this category because of our present formation, looks like a positive addition, minus his occasional brain farts, but I would rather see what he could do in a back 4 before making my mind up... Ox, who has never played better, which isn't saying much considering his largely underwhelming play in previous seasons, seems to have found a home in this new formation; unfortunately, can we really expect this oft - injured player to handle the taxing duties that come with said position over the long haul, not to mention, it looks like he has no intention of staying... Ramsey has relied on the empathy that stems from his gruesome injury years ago and the excitement that was generated a few years back when he finally seemed to put in altogether, but on the whole he has been a big disappointment (neither he nor the Ox have scored enough to warrant a regular spot)... Wiltshire should be put on a weekly contract then played until he suffers his first injury, if and when that occurs he should be shipped - out and no one should very be allowed to say his name on club grounds ever again... Elnehy & Coq are average players who couldn't make any of the top 7 teams currently in the EPL... both have showed some great energy on the pitch, but neither are top quality and no good team can afford to have that many average players on their bench playing the same position, especially with Coq's injury history / discipline concerns and Elheny's headless chicken tendencies... as for Xhaka, his tenure here so far has been incredibly underwhelming... we know he has some skills to provide the long ball but his defensive work is piss poor and he gives the ball away too cheaply and far too often... finally, the enigma himself, Ozil, so much skill with his left foot but his presence has been more frustrating than uplifting... in many respects his failure has been directly related to the failure of this club to provide him with the necessary players up front, minus Sanchez of course, and unless something drastic happens very soon his legacy will be largely a negative one (much like Wenger's)
Get rid of our deadwood and below to average players Sign very good to Top players
but the difference in getting him unlike Vardy is if he does not produce we are mot exactly short on the middle and we have alternatives unlike the Vardy deal, where we are on serious need and very very short; we have to get that striker role right so we can not afford to gamble om a one.dimensional average player who just so happen to have an exceptional season....
Iwobi has NOTHING to compare him to a player like Hleb. What is he?A Striker?obviously not.A number 10 playmaker?obviously not.A Winger? He has very limited ball skills and only average pace.Central Midfielder? My god - I would rather have Zhaka and that's saying something.
This headline could be said for any player this year!!!!!! i think apart from our new wizzard from barcalona the rest of the team have so stage been very average!!!!! most of them would have struggled to hold down a starting place in any of the other top 4 teams, I keep hearing fans saying we have loads of players but where is the quality that we all seen 10 - 15 years ago?
It seems like people think spotting talent is easy.In fact when it comes to Wenger it's almost as if spotting talent is his talent. He can bring in a young player who looks so average to everyone but with time the player seems to develop into a star. It's just that not everything is meant to be.I can also say that if Wenger had signed certain players he wouldn't have been looking at a young Kante and Lemar.I still expect an unknown young player who has the potential to be one of the very very best in the world to be signed before he leaves.
There are some player who seem average with inferior players but play very good football with top level players as they keep the game simple and tight and link up with them beautifully.
There's so much wrong with Arsenal if we were given chances to write about them it would take a year. What kind of mentality is this.Forgive me for the way I come out but what has to be said has to be said and the truth hurts.I do nt know if you guys are happy with what's going on but am not.We live in a world where those who speak the truth are hated very much and a world full of incomprehensible things. Its just sad.Things have to change from this year especially the mentality of this club.I just wan na see my club succeed and its bothering me a lot we just can not seem to do what is right. It's time average players are taken out of the club and what I mean by that is players who do nt want to improve. You already them lot.

I have example to Back my Statement... In 2003 Real Madrid bought Beckham from Man Utd for 25M which highest transfer amount that time and now if look at the transfer then average player also cost for 30 to 35M easily... So it very difficult to know how much we have earned from every year making Champions League but yes certainly we must have earned lot because we were 500M debt ridden club when we moved to Emirates Stadium and now we are debt free entity so there is good possibility that we have earn lot from Champions League qualifications and also from Highbury real estate projects as well....
Cavani is looking very average as of late i agree aguero suarez but we cant get them players so who do you suggest we get that is realistically goin to come to us
@davidnz has anyone ever told you are average? You are average and so is a lot of people around here.Gabriel, Wilshere, Ramsey, Ox, Gibbs and Welbeck are not average players. The average players in Arsenal so far based on their quality are: Debuchy (after injury), Mertesacker (very average), Chambers (laughably terrible), Giroud (will forever be), Sanogo (a disgrace), Jenkinson (but can still fulfill potential) and Welbeck (awful)
if you take out any of this players arsenal will be very average.
Fans fail to see that we are blessed to have a DM like coquelin, I mean look at how solid our team has become when he plays. His defensive qualities are what please me the most.Coquelin reads the game really well and knows exactly where an opponent is going to drop the next pass that is why you see him making so many interceptions because he reads the game well and he is not afraid to challenge for the ball.He is also very desciplined withe ball and passes the ball quick enough to start a counter attack. So for me, I couldn't ask for another DM than Coquelin please let's learn to appreciate what we have.Schneiderlin, Wanyama, Kondogbia etc are highly rated because they play for other clubs if they were playing for Arsenal we would have branded them «average players», we would be crying for Wenger to sign «world class DMs».
Enough of this having 6 or more average players who are contributing little to the club either because they are only available for selection very little of the time, past the age, or simply lack the consistency to go with their very average talents.
What you said is very true.Ozil makes our strikers look half decent. In fact we expect average players to look better when they are surrounded with world class players. He's definitely not been consistent but to get the best out of him he needs players who can finish or else he's useless. It's good Wenger has brought in Lacazette who's actually the only good finisher out of our three strikers.
I am just trying look at players we should be targeting in the summer as our squad is clearly a super average squad of very high earners who couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo.
