I grew up eating a very dense,
very dark chocolate cake with caramel frosting that that we called Nana Cake.

It's apparently supposed to be a rich, moist layered
chocolate cake with a
dark red, bright red or red - brown colour with either cheese or buttercream frosting -
very popular in Southern U.S..
(In hindsight, that was pretty balanced compared to the
very dark three - day stretch where I consumed exclusively meatloaf and
chocolate pound
cake.)
The
dark chocolate cake is light and airy and yet
very intense.
(OK, sometimes on the odd occasion I may treat myself to a piece of
cake or some
dark chocolate — but not
very often).
Your
chocolate mousse
cake with both white and
dark varieties would indeed make anyone feel
