I will suggest some ways in which to describe
very concretely both congregations and schools, what pluralizes them, what goes on in them, and how that is somehow «unified» without
denial of their
deep diversity.
And if so, surely similar
denials of personhood could be applied to unborn children who are not yet «sentient», the severely mentally disabled, people in comas or persistent vegetative states, and indeed anyone in a
very deep sleep.
