VERY flavorful (tofu is basically a sponge that soaks up whatever flavor you cook it in) and quite cost effective, as well — as usual, my pantry contained many of the ingredients for this sauce already, so it ended up costing me about $ 4.00 per serving for this amazing
meal.
On quick review of the cookbook I was delighted to see that the recipes used simple ingredients, that the
meals would be easy and quick to prepare AND that they would indeed be
flavorful, despite the fact that none of the recipes contain oil,
very little of them use sweeteners (and when they do, they use natural sweeteners) and all of the recipes are low in sodium.
Some of the best breakfasts I've enjoyed (and if you're a regular reader of this blog, you'll know that breakfast is my favorite
meal of the day) have included a delicious slice of
flavorful bread or a muffin with melted butter, a bowl of cereal and a
very large glass of orange juice.
Quinoa is
very bland when cooked and eaten as is but when you pack it with
flavorful ingredients, it makes a delicious
meal.
Well I really altered this recipe to fit my ingredients and was looking for a way to cook the turnip greens Used 4 boneless chicken thighs that were browned in olive oil, butter, pressed fresh garlic, salt, pepper, basil and fresh parsley and then added 2 cup water to brought to boil then removed chicken and cut into pieces Measure liquid left and add enough to make 3 1/2 cup liquid Add turnip greens and chicken plus salt and brought back to boil then simmered for 20 minutes I had used the turnips for another
meal so I added tricolor carrots, organic coconut sugar, organic unpasteurized unfiltered Apple cider vinegar, and salt let cooked for 10 minutes at med low (slow boil) Then I reduced the heat and added the apples for the last 10 minutes It was absolutely delicious and
very flavorful.
This is one of my favorite go - to
meals since it's so easy to prepare all in one pot and is
very flavorful.
They say they love it because it is
very flavorful, easy, quick - to - make, healthy, one - pan
meal, gluten - free, and paleo - friendly!!
While this delicious, diet - friendly, and satisfying
meal is
very flavorful, it, however, lacks a touch of vegetables that I always love to have in my
meals.
